Dr.
Marco Griscti LL.D. graduated from the University of Malta in
1981 as a lawyer and is one of the founding members of the firm.
He does not practice at the Law Courts any longer and he is our consultant for Maltese
Trusts, International Trading
or Holding companies, Malta companies, ship and yacht registration and immigration
to Malta. Dr. Marco Griscti is also a director
of International
Beneficiary Services Ltd. The company is a trust company licensed
by the Malta Financial Services Authority to provide anonymous (nominee) shareholding to
the beneficial owners of companies set up
in Malta. In May 2005 the company was also licensed by the MFSA to provide
trustee services to clients setting up trusts in Malta.
Dr. Mark Chetcuti
LL.D., is a lawyer and graduated from the University of Malta in 1981 and
is also a founding member of the firm.
He has received a warrant to practice law in all the Courts of Malta, that
is the Magistrates Courts, The Superior Courts, The Court of Appeal and
the Constitutional Court. Dr. Chetcuti deals with litigation on
behalf of our clients and is our consultant as regards real estate
contracts and wills. He is a member of the Malta Board of
Arbitrations and is a member of the Refugees Appeals Board.
Mr. Chris Sammut is
our in-house certified public accountant and auditor. He also
graduated from the University of Malta in 1985. Mr.
Sammut does all the auditing, accounting and tax matters necessary for the proper
running of the firm and of the companies it incorporates in Malta for
foreign beneficial owners. He is also a director of International
Beneficiary Services Ltd and is our consultant for all tax and VAT related
matters.
Mrs. Joanna Agius
joined the firm in December 2004. After
being in private business for a number of years, she was a consultant
to a private bank that was set up in Malta and she also worked as a
consultant in the Office of the Prime Minister. She has
considerable experience in dealing with bureaucracy and Government
departments and has many connections to the Establishment in Malta.
Notary Public Dr.
Tim Ellis has also graduated from the University of Malta and publishes
deeds and contracts relating to real estate, he publishes wills and he is also licensed as a Commissioner for Oaths.
Legal Procurator
Juliana Scerri-Ferrante also graduated from the University of Malta and
has received a warrant to act as a solicitor and to practice law before
the Magistrates Court. She has also obtained a Magister Juris degree in
shipping law. Legal procurator Hilda Ellul Mercer also graduated
from the University of Malta and has received a warrant to act as a
solicitor and to practice law before the Magistrates Court
Dr.
Johann Debono is the latest lawyer to join our team. He has
successfully completed his law course exams at the University of Malta
and graduated in 2006. Dr.
Debono has taken a particular interest in European Union Law and will
be a welcome addition to our office complementing the services we
offer by integrating them into present European law. Along with the
other partners of the firm, he is a director of European
Resources Ltd which is our in-house company providing
consultancy services to clients wishing to obtain funds from the
European Union under one of the many funding protocols that the EU
issues every year.
Our
latest staff addition is Marlene Borg Sammut who joined the firm in
December 2006 and who has a strong background in book-keeping and
accounting and will considerably boost our accounting and back office
services potential.
Maria Carmela
(a.k.a. Marlene) Borg is our executive
secretary. On our team we now therefore have two staff members
named Marlene Borg and we hope this will not cause undue confusion. Rosette Clark and
Bianca Sansone complete our para-legal
team.
